What Should I Play Next: Horror Edition

October has arrived and it’s time to get spooky! Just because this season is scary for a lot of disease and justice-related reasons doesn’t mean we can’t also appreciate the less depressing horrors of ghosts, aliens, and small children singing in unison. Video games are one of my ways to wind down or let out frustration depending on which game I’m playing; and come October everything switches over to spooky. If you’re new to horror games, or just an indecisive person, I’ve compiled this helpful flowchart. Please keep in mind that, as they are horror games, many of these will deal with violent or triggering images and topics — so always make sure you check the rating, plot, and reviews if that’s something that might be a concern! Or just play Animal Crossing, because that game is never out of season.
